What we get called out for
Leak detection and repair, taps, toilets, sinks and waste, hot water cylinders and immersion heaters, outside taps, valves and stopcocks, and burst pipes. If it carries water in a domestic property, it is work we do.
We are a plumbing and heating firm rather than a handyman service, so the same engineers who fit boilers are the ones who come out to a leak. That matters when a plumbing job turns out to be a heating job halfway through.
Find your stopcock before you need it
The single most useful thing you can do as a homeowner is know where your stopcock is. In most West Lothian houses it is under the kitchen sink or in a downstairs cupboard, and in older properties it can be outside under a small metal cover in the path.
Turn it twice a year so it does not seize. When a pipe goes, the difference between a wet floor and a ruined ceiling is usually the ninety seconds it takes to find the stopcock.

Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. We do not run a 24-hour emergency service and we would rather tell you that plainly than have you ring at midnight and get nobody. If you need out-of-hours cover you want a firm that genuinely staffs it.
