What a new boiler costs in West Lothian
Most installs land in one of three packages. A straight like-for-like combi swap with an A-rated Ideal i Mini, standard flue and controls and a 5-year warranty starts at £1,750 + VAT. Our most popular upgrade, an Ideal Logic Max with a power flush, a magnetic filter, a smart wireless thermostat and a 10-year warranty, starts at £2,300 + VAT. A premium Ideal install with the same power flush and filter, top-end wireless controls and up to a 12-year warranty starts at £3,000 + VAT.
Those are guide prices, not a quote. Every house is different, and the final figure is confirmed after a free survey with no obligation. Finance options are available on request. What we will not do is give you a number over the phone and then change it once we are in the house.
Why the warranty is the bit that matters
Anyone can fit a boiler. The length of warranty you get depends on whether the installer is accredited by the manufacturer, and that is what separates a 2-year cover from a 12-year one. We are accredited Ideal installers, which is why we can register the longer warranties directly with Ideal on the day of the install.
It is also why we only fit Ideal. If you have your heart set on another make we will say so up front rather than take the job and fit something we cannot stand behind.
Repairs and servicing, not just installs
Not every boiler needs replacing. A lot of the calls we get in West Lothian are faults that turn out to be a pressure loss, a failed diverter valve or a sludged-up system rather than a boiler at the end of its life. We will tell you which it is.
Annual servicing keeps the boiler safe and efficient, and most manufacturer warranties require one to stay valid. A full Gas Safe service is currently £60 + VAT.
